Stryper announced the new bass player, Perry Richardson, who joins original members Michael Sweet, Robert Sweet and Oz Fox, in pre-production on their next album.
The bass player position became available following last year's highly successful 30th Anniversary To Hell With The Devil Tour, which saw record crowds and featured Stryper’s largest sound and lighting production in nearly two decades. Perry becomes only the 3rd bass player to fill that slot in the band’s 34 year career.
Richardson ws a founding member of the multi-platinum band Firehouse, from the early 1990s. Since departing Firehouse, Richardson has toured with various artists including Trace Adkins and Craig Morgan.
“The first time I met the guys in Stryper was in 1985. From that first meeting, they have always been one of my favorite bands and a huge influence on me personally and musically. To have the honor of becoming a member of Stryper today, is an indescribable experience for me. I am so overwhelmed I can’t put it into words. To be asked to be a member of one of my favorite all-time bands is one of the greatest
honors of my career. I’m so looking forward to being a part of this next chapter in Stryper’s legacy. I’m ready to rock the world with my new brothers!”
Abigail Sloane has released her debut album, Reason & Rhyme. From a very young age, Abigail found music to be a powerful outlet for expressing her emotions. She began singing at local events and at church, and by the age of 11 she was writing music and determined to pursue the path of a singer/songwriter. Not only did she discover that her passion for writing helped her navigate life’s storms, but she soon found that her music had the ability to touch the lives of others who were facing the same tumultuous upheavals.
As someone who has battled depression, Abigail wants to equip those who hear her music with the hope and encouragement that helped her to fight through the darkest of nights. Abigail uses her music to share about her faith, and she wants her songs to tell the broken and the hurting that no matter what they are going through, there are better days ahead.
Former Gotee Records artist, B.Reith has rebranded himself, to release new music to fans under his actual name, Brian Reith. "I have been touring and releasing music as B.Reith for over a decade. After years of breakdowns and burnouts from struggling to find the right platform to launch from, I had this beautiful epiphany: WE CAN BUILD OUR OWN PLATFORM! I don’t have to compete with big labels and get lost in the the chaos of an oversaturated music industry. I can create music that I love directly for my fans. We can create our own lane, together. This is the new model for artists like myself. WE are the record label. I’ve decided to release one song a month. YES! I will be creating the purist music from my heart, straight from me to you, without anybody between us to interfere with the process. AND, you get a front row seat to see inside my process of creating songs (and might I add, even speak into it!). You’ll gain exclusive access to behind the scenes videos, songs stories, original demos/voice memos and more."
